Chrysanthemum leucanthemum L, also known as Leucanthemum vulgare Lam. The ox-eye daisy is a perennial, white flowered daisy with creeping roots that grows to 60 cm feet tall. Leaves have toothed edges and are 15-12 cm long, getting smaller toward the top of the plant. The flowers are about 5 cm wide, have 20-25 petals and are borne singly on the ends of branches. Flowering is from May to October in roadsides, fields, waste places and yards. Because of its tendency to establish quickly and grow in dense stands it is often considered to be a serious weed of yards.
